黄永玉，男，1924年7月出生，土家族，湖南凤凰人，1953年7月参加工作，专科学历。擅长版画、彩墨画。现任中国美术家协会第七届顾问。1941年～1942年福建闽南站地服务团美术干事1942年～1943年福建长乐培育中学美术教员1943年～1946年江西信丰民教馆美术主任1946年～1947年福建南安国光中学、上海中学美术教员1949年～1953年香港《人间画会》、《大公报》美术记者，长城电影公司、《长城画报》美编1953年～1998年中央美术学院讲师、副教授、教授1985年～1998年中国美术家协会第四届副主席1998年～2003年中国美术家协会第五届顾问2003年～2008年中国美术家协会第六届顾问2008年至今中国美术家协会第七届顾问。
